From audio brief to finished ad

1

Analyse Your Audio Brief & Map the Campaign

Before opening any tool, decide what sound will do in this ad. Identify your platform (TikTok / Reels / Stories), your audience energy level (high-energy: 120–140 BPM; premium/calm: 75–90 BPM), and the three audio moments you need: hook (0–2 s), message beat, and brand close. Open Campaign Manager β†’ New Campaign β†’ Short-Form Video and fill in the platform brief β€” this audio roadmap prevents wasted generation iterations later.

2

Generate Your Hook Music

Open Music Generator. Select the Trending Hook preset β€” this pre-configures the arrangement for short-form attention capture. Set BPM to 120–140 for high-energy content or 75–90 for premium and calm brands. Choose a genre that matches your brand's emotional category. Generate 2–3 variants, then listen on phone speakers (not headphones) β€” most users hear short-form ads on device speakers. Save the best variant to your Assets Library before moving on.

3

Generate or Import Your Voiceover

If the ad includes spoken copy, open AI Voice. Choose a voice style that matches your brand energy: Warm Conversational for lifestyle brands, Confident Authority for B2B, Playful for Gen Z formats. Paste your script β€” maximum 40 words for a 15-second slot. Generate and listen at 0.75Γ— speed; pacing issues surface more clearly at slower playback. Export the clip to Assets Library. If you have a real voice recording, upload it directly instead.

4

Add Your Sonic Logo

Navigate to Brand Assets Library and locate your Sonic Logo. If you don't have one, use the Sonic Logo Generator β€” keep it under 2 seconds and ensure it sits in the 800 Hz–3 kHz range for clear playback on mobile speakers. Place the Sonic Logo at the final 1–2 seconds of the ad. This is the audio equivalent of a visual CTA: the last thing the listener hears is the brand. It is the single largest driver of audio brand recall β€” never skip it.

5

Mix Your Audio Layers in the Audio Mixer

In the Audio Mixer, layer your music hook and voiceover. Set music to 15–20% volume while the voiceover plays β€” equal volumes destroy intelligibility. Add a 0.3-second fade-in at the top of the music to avoid a jarring cold start. At the voiceover entry point, automate a 3 dB music duck. Let the Sonic Logo ride on top of the music at full volume at the close. Export the mixed track at –14 LUFS, the standard loudness target for TikTok, Reels, and Stories.

6

Attach Audio to Video & Format for 9:16

Open Video Generator. Select the 9:16 (vertical) format β€” this is non-negotiable for TikTok, Reels, and Stories. Import or generate visuals that communicate clearly with sound off (bold text overlays, clear product action). Attach your exported mixed audio track. Preview the full ad with audio: the sonic hook must land within the first 2 seconds of visual motion. If the audio and visual peaks don't align, shift the audio trim point β€” not the music BPM.

7

Test β€” Sound On and Sound Off

Run the mobile simulation preview twice. Sound-off test first: does the ad's core message come through with visuals and text alone? If it fails sound-off, fix the visual layer before any audio polish β€” the majority of viewers scroll with sound off. Sound-on test: does the hook land in the first 2 seconds? Is the voiceover clear on tiny speakers? Is the Sonic Logo audible at the end? Both modes must work independently.

8

Publish & Monitor Audio Completion Rate

Schedule or publish to your selected platforms. In Analytics, track Completion Rate as your primary audio success metric β€” viewers who reach the Sonic Logo are those who completed the ad. Set up an A/B test with a variant that uses an alternative opening music hook but the same voiceover and Sonic Logo. Check completion rate after 48 hours. A difference of 5% or more identifies the winning hook variant β€” promote it as the default creative for the rest of the campaign.

πŸ’‘Pro Tips
Lead with a sonic hook in the first 2 seconds
Use trending audio as the base and layer brand voice on top
Always test with sound off β€” if the ad fails visually, fix that first
⚠️Common Mistakes
Opening with brand name
Music too loud over on-screen text
Forgetting sonic logo
